The second generation of Robosapien can interact both with humans and objects using sight, sound and touch sensors. The Pobosapien demonstrates human-like responses in a variety of situations. The movements of the Robosapien are closely humanoid and include bending, sitting and standing, lying down and getting up, dancing, waving, martial arts elements. Thanks to the stereo sound detection system the Robosapien does not only respond to the commands but is able to identify the position and source of the sound. The vision system can identify colors and recognize skin tones but not only: with the IR vision system the Robosapien can detect and avoid obstacles and track moving objects in conditions of dim or completely extinguished light.

The movement system of the Robosapien is designed to reflect humanoid articulation: it can imitate human walk with multiple gaits and its well-articulated fingers ensure precision gripping of objects of various sizes. The Robosapien has about 100 preprogrammed functions realized in 2 demo and 6 programming modes. It can be remotely controlled or set in a "free roam" or guard modes. To safe battery life the Robosapien is designed with a sleep and auto-shut off functions.
